How do I make a device which can view the only PDF? An inexpensive device with limited functionality, something similar to eBook readers but with LCD screen. I am unable to find which type of PCB to use and how to program it.

Why would you want a device that ONLY views PDF files???? If you don’t know which type of PCB to use or how to program a PCB - you have much learning to do that would fill many books……don’t expect an answer here - which you probably don’t anyway.

PDF documents can be cumbersome to edit, especially when you need to change the text or sign a form. However, working with PDFs is made beyond-easy and highly productive with the right tool.

How to Type On PDF with minimal effort on your side:

  1. Add the document you want to edit — choose any convenient way to do so.
  2. Type, replace, or delete text anywhere in your PDF.
  3. Improve your text’s clarity by annotating it: add sticky notes, comments, or text blogs; black out or highlight the text.
  4. Add fillable fields (name, date, signature, formulas, etc.) to collect information or signatures from the receiving parties quickly.
  5. Assign each field to a specific recipient and set the filling order as you Type On PDF.
  6. Prevent third parties from claiming credit for your document by adding a watermark.

Type on PDF: All You Need to Know

So what do I want? — I want to have a simple PCB with only two pins required for a USB connection so all the other pins on the PCB become unnecessary (which isn’t hard — there are a lot of other examples floating around the internet that just require two or three more pins). The design below shows a USB to PIC-M programmer that only requires two pins. As you can easily see, the entire circuit is built in “one piece”. So if you want to connect a PIC programmer to your computer with a USB cable — you can just plug it into the board and the USB connector (not a ribbon cable) will be attached to the two pins. If you want something even simpler (like me — and if you have lots of USB ports, or you don’t have much space for USB.
